About:
Born in Romania, Raluca Babeu is a self-taught artist whose journey weaves together resilience, emotion, and spiritual awareness. After studying art for two years before pursuing an engineering degree, she later moved to Italy where her artistic voice began to take form.
Influenced by the warmth and depth of Northern Italy’s creative circles, Raluca was encouraged by the artists of Vicolo dei Lavandai in Milan to exhibit her early works. Those formative years shaped her signature style intuitive, soulful, and guided by feeling rather than convention.
For a period of a few years, after creating on canvas and wood panels, her drawings and figures were transferred onto skin as a tattoo artist.
Her creative process is both a meditation and a dialogue with the unseen. Working primarily in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, she paints figurative and emotional realism infused with symbolism and healing energy. Each work channels inner landscapes into color and form, exploring the quiet spaces between emotion and transcendence.
Now based in the UK, Raluca continues to evolve as both an artist and a counselor-in-training, blending art and empathy into one holistic vision.Currently, she’s working and welcoming commissions from UK. Her paintings speak of transformation, the courage to feel deeply, to heal, and to rise luminous from within.
